And the brand new design is perfect for this
It is the latest edition of the Windows operating system with a new interface and other new features such as the new Microsoft Store, a new AI-powered personal feed and best-in-class performance of the Microsoft Edge browser, the integrated Microsoft Teams Chat taskbar and much more! What’s new in Windows 11: – Windows 11 will have a completely new design. It is clear that Microsoft needs a good reason to withdraw its previous statements and still abandon Windows 10 by introducing a new operating system number. The Redmond giant has long been preparing the design of the update under the codename Sun Valley (“Sun Valley”) – apparently, that was the name of Windows 11. The Sun Valley project has been flickering on the network for a long time – Microsoft regularly revealed details of the new interface style, insiders shared previously unknown information, and the most famous designers in their circle drew realistic concepts based on all this data.
– Launched and system elements float above the bottom bar
Start is the business card and face of every latest version of Windows. It is not surprising that in the Windows 11 operating system, developers are transforming it again, but not so much functionally as visually: the Start window will hang above the bottom bar. We must admit that this small change makes the system much fresher. Judging by the information coming from the network, Microsoft will not radically change the “interior” of this menu: innovations will only affect the design of the window itself. The control panel will also be floating and will have exactly the same design as Start.
– Rectangles will disappear, replaced by fillets
The Action Center will be combined with control buttons, similar to those used by other operating systems for a long time. Almost all mentions of this new menu indicate that it will be an island, with controls in a separate panel, notifications in another, and specific elements (such as the player) in another separate panel. In fact, insiders and concept creators are divided on this issue, with some convinced that Microsoft will not change its tradition and will stick to right angles, while others believe that in 2021 Microsoft will follow the splice fashion. The latter is more in line with the definition of “all new Windows”: floating menus alone are not enough to qualify a new design as truly new. The splice is expected to affect almost everything in the system, from context menus and system panels to all application windows.
– There will be a transparent background with a blur everywhere
True, even in this matter, the opinions of concept developers differ: some draw splices in all possible interface elements, others combine them at right angles. The island style of windows, the design of corners and the levitation effect of menus are divided on the Internet, but almost everyone agrees on the transparency of windows. The vast majority of leaks and design renders show transparency and blur in all windows, at least in the Start menu or browser. In addition, these effects are also present when installing the canceled Windows 10X operating system, which Microsoft developed for devices with two screens and weak apps in parallel with the Sun Valley project. The so-called acrylic transparency involves the use of new effects when hovering over elements, as well as increased spaces between elements: those areas of the interface with which the user interacts will certainly increase, and page titles will be thickened.
– New font already shown
Windows 11 will probably use the default Segoe UI Variable responsive font, which already appeared in Windows 10 Build 21376 for Insiders. Its advantage is that it is suitable for both small texts and large notes.
