IN LATVIA, when the often-fired Walt (Shameik Moore) takes over as the bar tender and shoemaker at his local bowling alley, AlleyCatz, he feels like he’s finally found a home. When AlleyCatz faces financial problems, Walt is pressured by former bowler and current drinker Skunk (D’Arcy Cardenas) to embrace his role as the greatest bowler ever to grace this earth. While the Pro Tour is intrigued by Walt’s love of big checks and in-your-face style of play, his detractors, including ratings-obsessed news anchor Angelo Powers and recently retired bowling legend Linda “The Crusher” Curson (Susan Sarandon), fiercely try to extinguish Walt’s flame before it burns too brightly.
