Story
A group of neighbors trapped on a farm in rural Georgia must put aside their differences and unite in the face of a mysterious and deadly threat. Adapted from Robert McCammon’s Stinger (1988). By the end of the second episode, I wasn’t sure about the show. No spoilers, but the sound effects alone were so visceral that I was curious to see more! The visual effects were pretty grotesque too! The horror reminds me of the fun practical effects of 80’s and 90’s horror, but mixed with CGI. At the end of the second series, the series finds itself. I think it’s perfectly fine for the showrunners to take their time and work on the story – we used to spend a lot more time on shows when 24 episodes was the norm. I’ll be interested to see what direction the show takes from here. Fun new show 🙂
